2020 Interior Color Trends: Is White the New Gray?

As we have rolled into 2020 we have seen more and more customers moving to the lighter side of color!  Ultra Whites are the latest trending colors with our clients in Colorado.  

For so many years, the trend was to have an all-over color with wall accents to pop throughout the house or in a specific room, but now the trend is seeming to go the other way.  Wall accents are no longer in trend!  In fact grays are slowly going away and leaving room for fresh, clean white walls and white ceilings as well as trim and doors.  

So far this year, for both homeowners and for new construction, whites have been on peoples minds.  

In the latest spec home we did with BV Builders, we did the entire interior white for their walls, ceilings, and trim & doors. In particular, we used Sherwin Williams SW2426 Windfresh White in an eggshell finish for the walls.  We used Windfresh White for their trim and doors in a semi-gloss. As their accent color on the beams we used SW 6258 Tricorn Black in a Satin finish.  It was a pleasure working with such a great general contractor for this project because their build quality was top notch.  It's important to have walls built with integrity because the paint will always show to work!

Whatever your colors are, they belong to you, they speak about your personality and while trends may lean one way or another, we are happy to paint your walls whatever color you like.  

For our latest color palettes we are using both Behr.com paint and Sherwin-Williams.com paint.  Both products hold up well, while Behr paints with similar quality across brands have cheaper prices.
